Business Development Implementation Manager

Location: Downers Grove, IL

The Business Development Implementation Manager is a strategic part of the Business Development team. The primary purpose of the position is to assist the Business Development department increase software revenue through LANSA’s partner network; and to increase the number of partners, with special focus on ISVs. With the growth of the partner network, the Business Development Implementation Manager role will be integral to the growth of the Business Development team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Increasing software revenue from existing and/or new partners by ensuring the partners become successfully independent and get to market as quickly as possible.
  • Gathering Partner requirements that need to be addressed in order for the Partner to "get into production"
  • Requirement Fulfillment – Fulfilling the requirements will be done directly by the Business Development Manager, or will require the Business Development Manager to resource the correct skill set. Requirement may include:
    • Training – Provide unique and tailored training to partners and/or resource the right trainer/training material for each partner.
    • Consulting Services – When appropriate, provide consulting services to partners directly, or manage the resourcing and activities of other consultants.
    • Mentoring – Provide mentoring and/or resource the appropriate skills.
    • Technical Support ("how to") – Provide technical support on LANSA technologies.
    • Project Review – Perform periodic project reviews to determine that partner is on the right track.
    • Assist with developing best practice guidelines for our partners to adopt and use our technology to quickly and efficiently improve their software.
  • Providing pre-sales assistance to the Business Development sales rep(s) to help with signing new partners:
    • Demonstrating functionality of the LANSA technology.
    • Conducting proof of concepts.
    • Signing New Partners.

Requirements:

The Business Development Implementation Manager must be able to solve the partner’s product issues and manage other resources, both internal and external. Therefore, the Business Development Implementation Manager must have:

  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the LANSA technology.
  • Hands on experience in RAMP, Visual LANSA Framework, Visual LANSA, LANSA Integrator, LANSA Composer, and LANSA Open for .Net
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple projects and Partners.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Director of Marketing

Location: Downers Grove, IL

The Director of Marketing is responsible for establishing marketing strategies necessary to support corporate sales objectives and annual goals. The Director of Marketing will drive development and execution of key strategies and tactics resulting in exponential growth in Software. Together with direct reports (marketing communications manager, field marketing manager, product marketing manager, public relations manager, etc..) the Director of Marketing will plan, develop and execute all corporate marketing initiatives and activities in the Americas including advertising, public relations, trade shows, lead generation campaigns, Web site maintenance and all other marketing communications and events.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and establish effective, creative and consistent marketing messages, image, themes and collateral. Provide leadership and coordination of these with the other regions (EMEA, Asia Pacific) to ensure worldwide consistency. Align campaigns with overall business development strategy. Measure and refine programs/campaigns.
  • As the creative lead, develop and direct creative work of the highest caliber, driving all phases of creative work from concept development through production.
  • Develop campaign ideas, from whiteboard concept to detailed project plan with the ability to add value to the campaign goals.
  • Manage and co-ordinate press releases, articles, case studies, white papers, and other media coverage for the company, products, partners, and customers.
  • Work with sales organization in the planning of campaigns and events that will generate sales leads and obtain and provide feedback on the effectiveness of lead generation efforts.
  • Continually analyze effectiveness of corporate web site, making recommendations as necessary to enhance the promotion of the company, its products and services, and growth of its business.
  • Work with product management to prepare marketing collateral to support the new products or releases, and ensure effective rollout to sales organization, partners and customers.
  • Assist Business Development in enhancing the existing partner channel program. Work closely with the business development and sales teams to recruit and motivate partners to sell the company’s products and services. Measure effectiveness of partner participation.
  • Develop and work relationships with major industry analysts including AMR, Gartner, Forrester, etc. to ensure that the company’s products are known, covered and properly positioned.
  • Manage our technology partner relationships being mindful that we are correctly positioned to work effectively with these partners to pursue joint marketing activities and campaigns.
  • Conduct analysis to identify opportunities to improve and grow the business; analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, methods, costs, and results.
  • Find ways to measure customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and interface with external vendors and partners.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current marketing programs and make recommendations as necessary that will better serve company goals.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor degree or equivalent with emphasis in Marketing, MBA preferred.
  • Five or more years marketing experience in the enterprise software space, including the supervision and management of a marketing team. A technical background is essential to understanding our company, our products, and our customer’s needs.
  • Experience/track record in designing and executing successful demand generation programs resulting in lead generation, pipeline acceleration and sales.
  • Ability to create compelling and consistent campaigns, breaking down complex technology to the core capabilities and benefits our solutions bring to a business.
  • Knowledge of IBM and Microsoft from the enterprise application development perspective.
  • Good understanding of lead generation best practices. Experience working with major IT publications and industry analysts.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to translate statistical raw data into insight and action.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, including executive presentation and writing.
  • Strong project/program management; ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects.
  • Strong creative writing and editing abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A high degree of ethics, professionalism, and polish.

The Candidate Should Be:

Senior Consultant(s)

Senior Consultants assist with client proposals, consulting, project management, and system design. They provide mentoring and training for both customers and LANSA staff. They may be involved in programming assignments and will assist in positioning services opportunities to customers.

Qualified candidates will have a thorough understanding of LANSA products and capabilities and a strong knowledge of the AS/400, including PC skills related to connectivity to the AS/400. They must have a minimum of 6 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing business solutions in manufacturing, distribution, finance or securities areas.

Consultant(s)

Our consultants perform consulting and programming assignments for customers. They will assist in estimating work effort and defining specifications for development projects. They will educate and mentor customers in how to use our products effectively and appropriately.

Qualified candidates will be hands on RDML programmers with a good knowledge of the AS/400 operating system, including proficient PC skills related to AS/400 connectivity. LANSA Consultant

Location: Sydney Based

Pre and Post Sales Role

Pre-Sales

Work with the sales team to understand client requirements, develop proposals, respond to RFP’s and deliver product presentations and demonstrations to clients and prospects.

Post-Sales

Deliver LANSA product education, undertake installation/upgrades of LANSA products at client sites and implement client projects involving system design and development.

Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred
  • A sound knowledge of technology and business systems including emerging trends in the IT industry
  • A minimum of 2 years practical experience in Information Technology preferably across a number of key technologies and platforms including programming languages, database design and user interface development
  • Knowledge of LANSA’s product line preferred
